Vin de NOIX

Literally, French for "Wine of Nuts", this digestif is known as Nochino in Italy. My friend Rob Brown discovered a recipe for make your own at home and together we kicked it up several notches. Rob has been instrumental in producing this wine under my direction, from sourcing the organic walnuts in the San Anselmo neighborhood to helping blend the various components.You want to have this before bedtime, after dinner when the kids are in bed. In front of the fire, if possible.  Very limited supply, we will make more this year (2008).  Alc. 19.7% by vol.
